PUPILS at Buckland St Mary Primary School launched this term’s topic on Ancient Greece by getting into the spirit of the theme.
Children and staff dressed up in tunics, the hall was decorated as a temple, they enjoyed a Greek feast and were treated to an animated recital of a Greek myth by head teacher Nick Arnold.
During the fun-filled day the youngsters also studied the star constellations, made Greek pots and learned about the alphabet.
Mr Arnold said: “It was a brilliant day for all of us.”
