A CHILDREN’S charity is giving everyone the chance to cosy-up at work while raising crucial cash.
ChildLine is holding a ‘be the onesie for Valentines’ campaign, asking supporters to show their love for their onesie and wear it with pride to work, college or university for the day in return for a donation to ChildLine.
Donna Statham, NSPCC fundraising manager for Somerset, said: “Children often have the opportunity to wear their pyjamas to school in return for a donation to charity so we thought, why not give the adults a chance to do the same?”
ChildLine hopes to reach a target of £6,000 with this fun campaign to help support the ChildLine Schools Service in the South-West.
Donna said: “ChildLine is always there for children by phone and online, but we want to do more to reach out to young children in particular, so they know they are not alone and help is available.
"The ChildLine Schools Service is a pioneering new initiative which aims to protect children one primary school at a time.
"It aims to be in a position to visit every primary school in the UK, to talk to children aged 9-11 about abuse, how to protect themselves and where to get help if they need it.”
