PUPILS in the Ash Class from Ashlands First School in Crewkerne have been learning about ‘people who help us’ this term.
As part of this, they enjoyed a visit from firefighters from the town, who brought along their fire engine which the children were able to sit inside.
The whole school was taught about fire safety and learned about the Great Fire of London.
A traffic police officer and a dog handler and his dog also came along to the school, providing a demonstration on how to search for property and catch a ‘villain’.
The youngsters also had the chance to try on various bits of police uniform and test out equipment.
