THE annual Midwinter Concert at St Bartholomew’s Church is on Friday, December 14, at 7.30pm.

The concert, a main event at Christmas in Crewkerne, will feature singer-songwriter Reg Meuross with folk singer and fiddle player Jackie Oates and talented cellist Bethany Porter.

The Friends of Crewkerne Parish Church is promoting the concert in aid of repairs to the church roof.

New staging provided by the Friends will improve the audience’s view.

John Clotworthy, for the Friends, said: “It promises to be an evening of high quality entertainment and will coincide with a Christmas Tree Festival which will add to the seasonal atmosphere.”

There will be a bar, raffle and free mince pie each during the interval.
