KENDRICK Thomas. A Thanks- giving Service was held at Chard Methodist Church for local stalwart Thomas Kendrick who died aged 98. Thomas was well known for his work with The Royal British Legion and worked for Phoenix Engineering for 36 years. He was loved and respected by many and will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank everyone who attended the service and sent messages of condolence. Special thanks also go to John Gudge and members of Chard Branch Royal British Legion for their fitting tribute. John Scowen and Mary Denslow for representing Chard Boys Brigade, Mr Thomas Jennings representing Phoenix Engineering Company, Angela Carlos (Granddaughter) for playing The Last Post. The Rev. Cresswell Whitton and the Methodist Church, Rev. Steven Reed and the Taunton Deane Chaplains, Dr. Down at Tawstock and the District Nursing Team. Lastly but not least, the family send much gratitude to Sunnymeade and all the lovely staff who came to give their special tribute to Thomas. Thomas's family wish to thank Paul Whitmore and his staff at Wakelys for their exemplary service, comfort and reassurance.
