HALF Moon beat previously unbeaten Division B leaders Pythons by 29 pins to keep themselves in the promotion hunt.

Second placed Dam Busters were involved in a high scoring victory, rattling up 434 pins to win by 24 against the Kings & Queens.

Strugglers, in fourth place, kept their promotion chances alive by beating bottom of the table Novices by 27.

It looks increasingly likely that two of these four teams will gain promotion to Division A.

Remoulds’ home 17 pin win over Granddads Army puts them back on track in the race for the Division A championship.

Ringers’ game with the Highwaymen was cancelled but they stay second as both Otters and Catherine Wheel lost their respective matches.

Next week sees a break from league games when the first round of the singles competition takes place.
