Ilminster men's campaign to retain the Turnbull Cup continued with a 32 shot win ( 103 to 71) away at Frome Park B C on Wednesday.

At eleven ends there was only 1 point in the game but then Ilminster pulled away to win on three of the four rinks with Mark Denslow picking up 14 shots in three ends and Peter Mattravers 13 shots in four ends. On Saturday the C team had a 12 points to 0 ( 81 shots to 32 )win at home to Taunton B and now move up to third place in the league. In the Ladies Top Club Ilminster were away to a very strong Clevedon side but on the day Ilminster played extremely well to win two rinks and lose two rinks to tie but lost the game by one shot on count back.
