Somerset Colts League: Chard Colts 3, Bridgwater Colts 24
CHARD played well against a powerful Bridgwater side and manager Jim Jacobs was again full of praise for their efforts.
Charles Allen Roberts kicked a penalty for Chard in the first half and Matt Tinley played particularly well.
Despite being up against it both physically and in terms of age, Chard tackled like demons and Bridgwater were, at times, forced to go for drop goals in the second half as they struggled to get through the Chard defensive line.
At the time of writing the Colts do not have a game next Saturday but no doubt some will be pushing to get a run out in the 3rds.
Chard Colts are grateful to the Windwhistle Inn for sponsoring the game.
