An athlete from Chard Road Runners won the South West's largest cross country race.
Wayne Loveridge emerged victorious in the challenging Grizzly race, which took place recently.
The race saw 1,372 runners complete the 20-mile course, including international runners.
An additional 650 competitors took the shorter nine-mile route.
Despite lying in third place at the 15-mile mark, and nearly two minutes behind the leader, he managed an impressive final push to clinch victory with a time of 2:18:55.
This marks his second win in the Grizzly race, the first being in 2020.
A spokesperson for Chard Road Runners said: "[For Wayne to] come back and win again against a really strong international field is a terrific result for a small local running club."
Nineteen fellow members took part either in the Grizzly or the Grizzly Cub nine-mile races.
Notable completions in the 20-mile Grizzly include Jamie Chapman in 30th, Marek Wegrzynowski in 94th, and Joe Grace in 170th.
In the nine-mile Grizzly Cub, Nick Gray finished 27th, Chris Wadey 60th, and Fiona Laramy 99th.
