Chard Hockey Club's third XI and Minehead's third XI played to a 1-1 draw in a closely contested match.
The game saw both teams create chances, but sturdy defences and goalkeeping heroics ensured the points were shared.
Minehead started strongly, dominating the first 15 minutes.
Their early pressure paid off when their number 91 evaded his marker and fired past Tony Millet to give them the lead.
However, they failed to capitalise on their early dominance, allowing Chard to grow into the game.
Chard had several promising chances, most notably when Alan Cheffey's inviting ball across the face of the Minehead goal went unconverted.
The equaliser came just before the break.
A fierce ball into the D from captain Gary Wheaton was touched on by Cheffey for Archie Parris to chip in from a couple of yards out.
The second half saw both sides have spells of dominance.
For much of the half, Chard's defence, consisting of Elliot Webb, Simon Green, Nigel Parris, and Steve Mahoney, stood firm against Minehead's attacks.
Late on, Millet made a couple of crucial saves, diving at the feet of forwards and smothering goalmouth scrambles.
Chard had a golden chance to snatch the win when Alfie Baker-Pike's initial shot and follow-up were saved at close range by Minehead's keeper.
Paul Bradshaw stood out in an unfamiliar outfield role, while Archie Parris was a constant threat down the right wing.
Newcomer Noah Green impressed with his commitment in midfield.
The club thanked match sponsor Koller Engineering Ltd and umpires Ben Larcombe and James Spurdle.
The Chard squad featured Millet, Webb, N Parris, Mahoney, S Green, Wheaton, N Green, Cheffey, L Brown, P Bradshaw, Baker-Pike, N Bradshaw, and A Parris.
