Perry Street Premier Division: Forton Rangers 5-3 Chard United
AT the weekend, Chard United were involved in a very entertaining game of football away from home at Forton Rangers.
Unfortunately for Chard, they lost the match 5-3 as league leaders Forton were too strong across the 90 minutes.
The match in the Perry Street & District Leagues Premier Division ended 5-3.
In the match, the goal scorers for Chard United were Bradley Davies with two and Jamie Brown with one.
Forton came into the match looking to keep their momentum going and retain their title from last season.
They definitely showed why they are on the top of the league in their offense, but defensively they did allow Chard United to create ample opportunities to score.
Chard now sit in fifth spot on the league table while Forton move to first, but on goal difference only.
They do have a game in hand on second-placed South Petherton so they have control over the situation.
Chard United have four games remaining this season, all of which are to be played at home against South Petherton, Shepton Beauchamp, Forton Rangers again, and Barrington.
