Combe St Nicholas Reserves 0-6 South Petherton

IN what was a weekend of local football heavily affected by poor weather, South Petherton picked up a big win over Combe St Nicholas Reserves.

In the match from the Perry Street & District Leagues Premier Division, South Petherton won 6-0 away from home.

The result sees South Petherton move higher up the table into fourth spot as they continue their momentum of recent weeks in cup competitions.

After the match, the club said: "The first team get back to winning ways as they return to the league after a run of cup games, they managed to put 6 passed Combe whilst maintaining a clean sheet.

"For the Reserves, they had a very disappointing display of football, and initially went 0-1 down, but managed to claw one goal back, they shared the points."

South Petherton return to action this weekend in the Somerset Junior Cup when they take on Frome Collegians Reserves on Saturday. Kick off is 2pm.
