Uhlsport Somerset Division One: Castle Cary 1-2 Combe St Nicholas
COMBE St Nicholas FC recorded their first win in the Uhlsport Somerset County Division One at the weekend.
Away from home, Combe defeated Castle Cary 2-1 to seal their first points of the campaign and move them off the bottom of the table.
They moved above Castle Cary themselves and also Stockwood Green to jump up to 13th place.
Interestingly enough, the first win came on the same match that Combe donned a brand new kit.
The kit itself is very interesting as it has a dartboard on the front, but the club has said you will have to 'stay tuned' for more information on that front.
In the match itself, Combe were on top for large parts with possession and chance creation, which in turn led to two goals.
Defensively they were stronger as well conceding just the one goal this time out, however there is still work to be done going forward.
They are next in action on Saturday, November 11 away from home against Stockwood Green in the league.
