Uhlsport Division One: Peasedown Miners 7-0 Combe St Nicholas
COMBE St Nicholas FC's tough start to life in the Uhlsport Somerset County Division One continued on the weekend as they were beaten by the league leaders.
Peasedown Miners Welfare were too good in the match between top and bottom on the league table, winning 7-0.
It is now the eighth defeat from eight matches for Combe St Nicholas as the step up in division continues to prove a challenge for the side.
In the match, Lewis Wheeler scored twice while Sam Cray, Theo Alvis, Max Rodgers, Harry Mclachlan and Hayden Campbell scored once each.
All in all Combe were outplayed, but understandably so against the current best side in the league.
In other news at the club, Ayrton White has returned for his fifth season in Combe colours this season.
He has stepped up to Combe St Nicholas First Team this season and has been putting in very workmanlike performances.
