Women's FA Cup: Ilminster Town 10-0 Bishops Cleeve
WOMEN'S FA Cup fever has hit Ilminster as the Ladies first team convincingly defeated Bishops Cleeve to advance to the next round of the competition.
In the match played at the Archie Gooch Pavilion, Jodi Cornwall scored five goals to help the home side win.
It was a First Round Qualifying match which means Ilminster Town now move to the Second Round Qualifying which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 1.
In that round, Ilminster will be at home once again and will take on Larkhall Athletic LFC for a 2pm kick off.
In the match against Bishops Cleeve, the Ilminster Ladies were on top from start to finish with impressive possesion skills and a clinical showing in front of goal.
Five goals were scored either side of half time to ram home the gulf in class between these two sides.
Youngster Matilda Wallbridge made her senior team and FA Cup debut in the match where she got an assist and scored.
Up next for Ilminster Town Ladies is a home match against Helston Athletic Women on Sunday, September 17 in the league.
