Somerset Division One: Westfield FC 7-0 Combe Firsts
COMBE St Nicholas FC were heavily beaten at the weekend away from home against Westfield.
The end result was 7-0 in favour of the home side as they showed they were too good for Combe on the day.
The strong, attacking Westfield side started fast and never looked back running out convincing winners.
Two 16-year-olds made their debuts on a very hot day for Combe and credit must go to them.
Combe look to bounce back against Clutton in the cup on Saturday.
Elsewhere, Combe Reserves lost 0-5 at home to Misterton.
After losing three players to various broken bones in midweek and a couple players called up to the 1sts, a depleted reserves side included two new players making their debuts and three called up from the colts.
The 5-0 scoreline doesn't fairly represent the game that played out on a scorching afternoon at Combe, 2 penalties and a deflected free kick boosted the scoreline for the visitors.
