ILMINSTER Bowling and Tennis Club is celebrating after winning two separate league titles in local bowls competitions.
At the weekend, Ilminster secured the East of Ex league title after a 11-1 win over Honiton.
Congratulations to all the players and to Tony Cole & Heather Grinter for running a successful campaign.
Ilminster also won the South Somerset league and cup which is a new league this year against local clubs for novice bowlers.
A special thanks must go to Martin Gurran for running this so successfully this season.
In other news at the club, Ilminster’s Oli Collins played an important role in winning the Bowls England Duos Championship in the Under 25's category.
He played alongside Bristol Bowling Club's Liam White and the pair earned a convincing 26-7 win over Cumbria in the final.
Congratulations to Oli & Liam for this amazing achievement being named Bowls England Champions in the Under 25s Pairs.
