Broadway & Horton CC 1st XI 152 / 2 (28.5) def. Cranmore CC 1st XI 151 / 8 (40.0)

BROADWAY & Horton CC earned an impressive eight wicket win over Cranmore CC at the weekend.

The result takes Broadway to second place in Division Two of the Somerset Cricket Leagues and moves them closer to top of the table Cranmore.

After winning the toss, Broadway & Horton chose to field first and they made the right call trusting in their batters.

Cranmore set the target at 151 for 8 after their 40 overs elapsed, as the visitors struggled to get going in the innings.

Kailem Payne-Richards took three wickets for the home side to finish with the best bowling figures.

In reply, Cranmore struggled to deal with the top order from Broadway as they sailed to a win.

Robert Dubery finished on 37 not out, Dylan Lowman added 24 runs, Dan Maycock was run out for 5 and finally Matt Derham ended as top scorer on 81 not out.
