Huntspill & District CC - 1st XI 260 / 4 (40) lost to Ilton CC - 1st XI 264 / 2 (37.2)
ILTON won by eight wickets at the weekend in a dominant performance away from home against Huntspill & District.
The result sees Ilton move up slightly to seventh place in Division Two of the Somerset Cricket Leagues.
After winning the toss, Ilton chose to field first and the Huntspill batters put in a good shift, setting the target at 260 for four.
Huntspill's captain Jake Randall was 131 not out come the end of the forty overs. His knock came off 84 deliveries and featured 8 fours and a staggering 10 sixes.
In reply, Ilton went to work quickly as Andrew Haste also scored a century, 119 not out. His knock included 13 fours and 3 sixes.
Ilton chased down the total in the 38th over for loss of just two wickets to earn a great win.
Up next, they face Wembdon CC- 2nd XI away from home on Saturday.
