THE Taunton home of Somerset cricket is being converted into "the biggest beer garden in the South West" this weekend.

Somerset County Cricket Club Beer and Cider Festival is being staged as part of a one-day game on Sunday (July 25).

There will be more than 40 local beers and 40 local ciders at the county town's first large-scale event since Freedom Day on Monday.
