RYAN Brett, Andrew Neal and Shane White must be wondering whether they really did leave Taunton Town over the summer, as their new side - Truro City - have been drawn to face them for the third time in the first seven weeks of the season.

The teams have already played each other in the league (a 1-1 draw at Truro), the FA Cup (a 4-2 home win for Taunton), and now they will face off at the third round qualifying stage of the FA Trophy.

The tie is due to be played at Taunton's Cygnet Health Care Stadium on Saturday, October 31, and is worth £2,450 in prize money to the winning side.

Brett, Neal and White all departed the Peacocks ahead of the 2020/21 season, rejoining the White Tigers - and another ex-Taunton player in Ed Palmer - and leaving Rob Dray to rebuild his squad.

The Peacocks have made an encouraging start to the campaign, though, with new striker Toby Holmes scoring three goals in five league games - as well as a hat-trick that swung this month's FA Cup tie for the hosts.
