ILTON Cricket Club members have now completed their Land’s End to John o’ Groats challenge, putting in the miles to help improve facilities at the club.
Between them, the members had gone the distance to John o’ Groats by Wednesday lunchtime, so the club challenged them to cover the miles back to the cricket club, and in the seven days they managed a total of 1,779 miles.
The fundraiser is now up to £795, and club chairman Damian Price said: “We have been overwhelmed by the support the club received throughout the week, and it was even more impressive with the recent good weather we have had.
“The committee would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who sent in their miles, and to anyone who has made donations to our crowdfunding page.
