WELLINGTON Rugby Club wishes to acknowledge all key workers involved in the fight against COVID-19, especially those who are part of Wellington RFC family.

Below are the club members, players and supporters who are NHS staff on the front line, essential workers or those providing a service to benefit the community.

  • Trish Acton - senior club physio and senior physiotherapist at Musgrove Park Hospital (MPH)
  • Nick Monteriro - Under-18 medical support and senior nurse at MPH
  • Kristy Adams - mother of one of Wellington’s Under-13 players and a nurse in the ITC at MPH
  • Matt Mason - coach of the Under-9s and consultant surgeon at MPH
  • Liz Ladd - radiographer at MPH
  • Nick Gilding - Under-16s coach and headmaster at Cotford St Luke School (open for key workers’ children)
  • Sarah Farrow - Under-12s secretary and teacher
  • Ben Orszag-Land - father of senior player Isaac and a social worker for Devon Children’s Services
  • Danny Lee - senior player and, as a farmer, working long hours to maintain food supply
  • Tom Crosby - senior player and local vet, providing an essential service to farmers
  • Josh Hancock - senior player and someone who works in childcare in homes, ensuring vulnerable children get the care they need
  • Amanda Bucknall - mother of senior player Issac Orszag-Land and mental health lead for Somerset Partnership
  • Kate Fishlocke - partner of senior player Tim Jenkinson and director at Wellesley Hospital, Wellington
  • Lisa Jenkinson - mother of Under-15s player Lucas and carer at Nynehead Court
  • Anita Chetland - wife of senior coach Allyn, keeping the shelves stocked at Asda in Wellington
  • Matt Parsons - ex-player and coach who is providing the Wellington community with free of charge family lockdown photos, with all proceeds/donations going to the NHS or a local charity
