CRICKET World Cup fever hits Somerset this weekend and Chard Cricket Club are playing their part.
On Sunday, Chard are hosting a ‘World Cup day’ which will include fun games for children and families as well as food and drink around the ground.
All are welcome, members and non-members, and the event gets underway at 1pm.
On Saturday, Chard's first team travel to North Petherton in WEPL Somerset, who currently sit bottom after four defeats in their opening five matches.
Ilminster are in Premier 2 Bristol/Somerset action as they head to Weston-super-Mare, while North Perrott host a Winterbourne side who have been benefitting from the presence of Gloucestershire duo Chris Dent and James Bracey this season.
