Albion striker Aaron Connolly has received a first call-up by Republic of Ireland under-21s.

He will travel to France for the Maurice Revello Toulon Tournament in early June.

Connolly, who was named Premier League 2 player for the season for his efforts with Albion under-23s, has been targeting an under-21s call for some time.

Boss Stephen Kenney has named him in a 22-man group for a competition in which the Irish face Bahrain, China and Mexico in the group stages.
