CHARD Under-14 boys became county champions for a successive second year at the weekend, winning all five games played and scoring a total of 17 goals.
Goalkeeper Josh Truscott made some good saves when called upon, while defenders Gabe Cameron and Riley Millett were strong in the tackle and distributed the ball well.
The midfielders – George Johnson-Jones, Monty Willis, Harvey Evans and Alec Evans – worked tirelessly and created many goalscoring opportunities, while Josh Davies led the frontline very well.
The retaining of the shield was well deserved after all their hard work and commitment shown at team practice sessions throughout the 2018/19 season.
