SPORTING success continued at Greenfylde C of E First School this month, as four teams were entered for the local area schools’ gymnastics competition.

Trained by the school’s coach Mrs Tuff, all the teams worked to a very high standard and did their school proud with their performances and sportsmanship.

The Key Stage 1 teams competed against 11 other teams from across South Somerset in the qualifying round of the Key Steps competition, and impressed the judges with the level of their routines.

Greenfylde A did brilliantly and were placed first, qualifying them for the county finals in May, while Greenfylde B achieved a very creditable seventh position.

The Key Stage Two gymnasts also competed at the area finals in Yeovil last Friday.

The standard was incredibly high this year but the team were unfazed by having to compete against more than 100 other Year 3 and 4 pupils.

They were placed fifth and 11th out of 19 teams, and everyone enjoyed the experience in representing the school.
