EMILY Syme scored a superb individual goal for Yeovil Town Ladies but the Glovers were knocked out of the Continental Cup on Thursday night.
Brighton & Hove Albion were the visitors and broke the deadlock on 15 minutes through Ellie Brazil.
Yeovil hit back in fine fashion, however, as Syme picked the ball up inside her own half, skipped past a couple of challenges and curled a finish into the bottom corner.
Happy to get back on the scoresheet in @YeovilLadiesFC last game of the year. Looking forward to seeing the team continue to improve in the new year! ⚽️⚽️ pic.twitter.com/basAbCGuL9

The deserved equaliser was the former Bishops Lydeard midfielder's second goal of the season.
The hosts were level for just eight minutes, though, as Albion restored their advantage on the stroke of half-time, and two further goals after the break sealed their progress.
Yeovil can now put all their focus on their league campaign, which resumes on January 13 with the visit of Liverpool.
