TAUNTON are racing this afternoon (Thursday), as the first of the seven races on the card goes to post at 1pm, in the first meeting of the new season.
With 44 horses declared, leading trainers Paul Nicholls, Colin Tizzard, Emma Lavelle, Philip Hobbs and Jeremy Scott have all got runners, while top jockeys Tom Scudamore, Nick Schofield, Richie McLernon, along with leading lady jockeys Lizzie Kelly and Bryony Frost, are all booked to ride.
In the Class 3 Chase at 1.30pm, which is worth over £9k, the Philip Hobbs-trained Beaus de Brizais is likely to be fancied, while in the second chase at 3.40pm, Night of Sin, ridden by Lizzie Kelly, looks to be the one to be on.
