CHARD Town's first pre-season training session will take place tonight, 24 hours earlier than originally planned due to the clash with England's World Cup game against Colombia.

Tonight's training will take place from 6.30pm at Zembard Lane.

The Robins' opening pre-season match is on Saturday, when they host Plymouth Argyle Reserves (ko 3pm).

This will be the first match under the reign of manager Jamie Manley and his assistant Kevin Leigh.

Then, on Tuesday night (July 10), neighbours Wellington from the Premier Division of the Toolstation Western League are at Zembard Lane (ko 7.30pm).

ILMINSTER Town have already started their pre-season training, to take place every Tuesday and Thursday (6.30pm) at the Archie Gooch Pavilion.

The exception is this week, as they have also moved the Tuesday session to tonight, due to the England match.

The club's first friendly is pencilled in for Tuesday, July 17, at home to Wincanton.

Ilminster Town Ladies begin their pre-season tonight as well, also at 6.30pm at the Archie Gooch Pavilion.

Their friendly schedule starts on Sunday, July 22, with a home match against Buckland Athletic Ladies.

They then travel to Poole Town (July 29), go to Team Mendip (August 1), host Larkhall Athletic (August 15), travel away to Alphington (August 19) and are on the road to Feniton (August 22).
