THE Chard Insurance-sponsored Evening Cricket League was badly hit by the weather last week, with only one game in each league being played.

In Division 1, Ilton scored 175-3 against Barrington, with Mick Price scoring 76 and Brett Venn 34 not out. In reply, Barrington reached 176-5 with four balls to spare. Ben Fair made 67, Andrew Whitefield 39 not out, and Joel Tratt 33.

In Division 2, Pioneer were bowled out for 52 against Broadway and Horton. S. Kirk scored 27 not out, Sam Hill took 2-1 and James Cliff 2-9. In reply, Broadway and Horton knocked off the runs for no wickets with S. Ireland on 34 not out and Jed Latman on 16 not out.

Representatives are reminded that the secretary needs informing when games are rained off.
