CHARD Bowling Club played a Wessex League match at Queen Camel on May 10. It was a wet and windy afternoon which obviously suited the hardy players from Chard, as they won comfortably on three rinks and by 82-60.

Chard played Castle Cary in the Wessex League at home on May 12. It was a closely fought encounter in poor conditions, but Chard proved successful and won by 15 shots, 81-66.
