Meanwhile the Ladies lost 52-28 to Thornbury in the last 16 of the Mason Trophy. Scores: home – Myra Childs, Rita Grout, Penny Stow and June Checkets lost 16-22; away – Margaret Evans, Norma Pugh, Monica Woodland and Dot Whelan lost 12-30.
On Saturday the Ladies beat Bridgwater 85-44 at home in the Optica Trophy.
