SOMERSET saw their Friends Life T20 hopes suffer a setback today when they lost by five wickets at Worcestershire.

The Cidermen were put into bat and posted a decent total of 188-4 with Craig Kieswetter top scoring with 80, while Peter Trego hit 62.

Somerset made a good start in the field as well by claiming two quick wickets, but an undefeated 77 from Andre Russell off of just 42 balls saw them home in the final over.

Ross Whiteley added 43 for the victors.

The result leaves Somerset second in their group.

It was disappointing for Somerset following Friday night’s excellent nine-wicket success over Gloucestershire.

Alfonso Thomas claimed 4-35 as Gloucestershire were dismissed for 125.

Chris Jones (53no) and Craig Kieswetter (61) led the charge and reached the target in the 17th over.
