POLICE have issued pictures of Matthew Sheridan wielding a knife at the door of the bedsit where he killed Louis Bednall.

Sheridan, who was found guilty of the doorman's murder in court today (Thursday) hid the knife in his back pocket as he entered the room before his frenzied attack.

The couple had argued after Sheridan stole a bottle of vodka belonging to Mr Bednall.

Police have also issued an image of the moment Sheridan was arrested for murder in the building where he committed his crime.

He can be seen being led out of the building between two officers.

In a third image, Sheridan is caught on CCTV carrying the stolen bottle of vodka.
