Chris Appleton is a “world-renowned” hair stylist, who is known for his “impeccable attention to detail and creative vision”.

Chris mentioned he was “thrilled” to be joining the cast and coming home to the UK for the experience.

Strictly Come Dancing’s latest series will be starting on September 19 on BBC One at 7.25pm.

Who is Chris Appleton?

Chris Appleton is a hairstylist who has worked with an extensive list of celebrities.

He was born in 1983 in Leicester and is the third of five children.

During his childhood, Chris would style his mother’s hair, which helped to spark his interest in hairdressing.

Chris started working in a salon in Leicester and would commute to London to take classes and earn a hair colour degree.

After his first appointment with Rita Ora, Chris was able to book several campaigns, red carpet events, and work on her tour.

He has gone on to work with a range of celebrities including Kim Kardashian and even appeared on her reality show, The Kardashians.

He has also worked with Britney Spears, Sofia Vergara, Katy Perry, and Ariana Grande.

He has also made appearances on The Drew Barrymore Show, Today, Access Hollywood, and Selling Sunset.

His work has appeared in a range of huge publications from Vanity Fair and Vogue to Marie Claire and Grazia.

In January of this year, Chris released his debut memoir Your Roots Don’t Define You that went on to be featured in The New York Times Best Seller list.

On joining the show, Chris said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Strictly Come Dancing and coming home to the UK for this incredible experience.

“I’ve always believed that the best things happen when you take a chance and try something new.

“I may know my way around a salon floor, but the dance floor is a whole different story - and I can’t wait to get started.”
