A man has been charged with outraging public decency after about 50 wreaths were thrown from a war memorial.
The vandalism, at the Cenotaph War Memorial in Regent Circus, Swindon, is believed to have happened at 4.38am on Saturday.
Officers on patrol discovered that poppy wreaths had been thrown on the street in an 80-metre radius of the memorial.
Ashwani Kumar, 54, was charged on Monday and remanded in custody.
The man, of no fixed address in Swindon, will appear at Salisbury Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
