The father of eight-year-old stabbing victim Mylee Billingham is due to reappear in court on Monday charged with her murder.
William Billingham was remanded in custody last month after appearing at Wolverhampton Crown Court via a prison videolink.
Billingham, of Brownhills, near Walsall, is accused of killing Mylee on January 20 and faces a separate charge of making threats to kill her mother, Tracey Taundry, on the same day.
The 54-year-old is due to appear for a plea hearing at the same court on Monday morning.
Mylee was pronounced dead in hospital after being found with knife wounds at her father’s bungalow in Valley View at around 9.15pm on January 20.
Her father was taken to Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital for surgery to injuries caused on the same evening.
