A pest control business based in Ilminster has scooped a top industry award.

Squeak-a-Boo Pest Management was named sole trader of the year at the National Pest Awards, held in London on Wednesday, September 9.

The awards celebrate best practice and achievement.

A spokesperson for Squeak-a-Boo said: "I'm absolutely humbled by the award and the support of others in the industry as well as our customers who are amazing."

The business was also shortlisted for pest business of the year, narrowly missing out to industry giant Rentokil.

The spokesperson said: "It's still quite an achievement being pitted against a massive multinational company."

Squeak-a-Boo has been operating since 2023 and previously won a Somerset Business Award for start-up of the year.

The company offers a full range of public health pest control services, including the safe removal and relocation of honeybees from buildings.
