Children at a school in Ilminster recently an Easter bonnet parade.

Pupils in pre-school, early years foundation stage, and key stage one at Herne View Primary School sported the headgear at the end of last term.

They created either an Easter bonnet or an Easter crown at home or as part of a carousel of activities during an Easter focus day.

The event was judged by Helena, the community champion from Tesco Ilminster, who joined Ms Oaten, Miss Eaton and Miss Smith to judge the parade.

Each class winner was rewarded with an Easter egg provided by Tesco.

A spokesperson for the school thanked Tesco for providing the eggs and congratulated each child who took part, adding: "Each and every one of them made the event truly special."
