Ilminster Rotary Club donate dictionaries to school pupils

Year Four pupils at Herne View Primary School in Ilminster recently received the dictionaries from the Rotary Club of Ilminster, who have supported the scheme for several years.

The donation was warmly welcomed by both pupils and staff.

Daisy S, a Year Four pupil, said: "I appreciate all the time and effort that others have put into us."

Another pupil, Dove, said: "I feel happy because now I have something to help me with my spellings at home."

Beth said she was surprised and pleased.

She said: "I feel astonished to be able to progress my learning at home."

Oscar said the dictionary inspired him to dream big, declaring: "It gives me an opportunity to become a writer."

Staff at the school thanked the Rotary Club of Ilminster for their ongoing support and for helping to encourage learning both in and out of the classroom.
