An Ilminster theatre team represented the West of England in a national competition recently.
My Best Friend was performed at the All-England Theatre Festival final by a team from The Warehouse Theatre.
The group embarked on a busy weekend, including a lengthy journey, technical rehearsals, and tours of Port Sunlight village and Lady Lever Art Gallery, culminating in their performance at The Gladstone Theatre.
The performers, Lauri Sandford, Rosie Hawkins, and Emma Langdon, were praised for their efforts, although they did not win the English Final title.
The winning play, Lemons, Lemons, Lemons, Lemons, Lemons, was presented by the Nantwich Players, representing the Northern Region.
The competition also featured Modest by Totally Arts Community Theatre from the Central Region and Medicine by Disaster Class from the Eastern Region.
Ilminster Entertainments Society congratulated the team on their achievement, saying: "Congratulations to Director Irene Glynn, the three exceptionally talented actresses and the hard working and supportive crew for their amazing production and incredible success for reaching English Final."
The society extended its pride and appreciation to all involved in the production, highlighting their accomplishment of reaching the final stage of the competition.
