THE cast and crew of My Best Friend by Tamsin Oglesby will be competing in the English Final of the All-England Theatre Festival after winning the Somerset County Drama Festival in March.

Ilminster Entertainment Society are one day away from competing in the English Final of the All-England Theatre Festival.

Irene Glynn, the director said: “We hope to bring the English Final trophy back to Somerset and the Western Area.

Irene added: “We would like to thank all our supporters who came to our fundraising night at the Warehouse and contributed to our fundraising page on Facebook.

“We feel we have been blessed to have had such financial contributions to help us with this venture.”

The crew consists of Laurie Sandford, Rosie Hawkins, Emma Langdon, Dom Sandford (sound), Brian Perkins (lights), Mick Glynn (producer), Dave Goodall, Ken Cooper and Tom Souster (set) who are all ready to set off tomorrow morning.

If the team does win, they’ll be off to Litchfield for the British final against the winners from Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
