A CHARITY has made a donation in aid of Ilminster Christmas Lights.
Ilminster & District Lions had the pleasure of donating a cheque for £200 to the Ilminster Christmas Lights.
A spokesperson said this was “all made possible by the generosity of the local community, who supported us at last year's festival in November when the fantastic lights were switched on in Ilminster”.
Last year, thousands of people gathered in Ilminster Market Square to witness actor James Purefoy illuminate the town with the Christmas lights switch-on.
The Ilminster & District Lions help a variety of charities and organisations in the area.
As their website explains, over the last few years, Parkinson's Research, The Children's Hospice Southwest, The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, and more recently The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Musgrove Park Hospital, Baby Basics South West have been among the chosen charities.
