HISTORIAN David Sutcliffe will speak about his new biography of Cecil Sharp at the Ilminster Thursday Club.

Cecil Sharp, a London musician, visited Somerset during 20 field trips collecting folksongs from 346 local singers throughout the county.

The event will take place at 10am on November 16 at the Ilminster Warehouse Theatre.

Later that day at 7pm he will speak at Brendon Books as part of the Taunton Literary Festival.

His photos are displayed in the County Museum.
