A CAR previously caught up in flooding was then destroyed by FIRE.
A crew from Ilminster were sent to an address in the town after a call reporting a car on fire, at around 6.55pm.
"Upon arrival crews confirmed that there was one car well alight," said a Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson.
"During the incident crews used the following equipment to extinguish the fire and then ensure it was fully out: Two breathing apparatus, Two hose reel jets, Small tools, Thermal image camera.
"Once the car had been extinguished fire control were informed that the car had previously been involved in local flooding.
"The car was 20% damaged by fire and 80% damaged by smoke."
