A NEWLY launched market was a huge success on Saturday (October 16).
The market, which was held at Donyatt Village Hall near Ilminster, showcased small local businesses.
Fiona Fforde, an organiser of the market, said it was 'time to rally round' and support the business 'on our doorstep'.
"Well the day started slowly, but form around 10 am onwards it picked up quite a bit and I think everyone had a very enjoyable day," she said.
"It was a very good atmosphere - thanks to both stallholder and customers.
"And many of the stallholders will be back next month, alongside some new additions including CB plants, a passion for pies, plus a stall for pets.
"I am looking forward to getting to know our customers and what they would like to see in their market."
There were many different stalls at the market, including meats, cheeses and handmade gifts.
The next market at Donyatt Village Hall will be on Saturday, November 13.
