A playground project in South Somerset is one step closer to becoming a reality thanks to a housebuilder’s donation.
Taylor Wimpey Exeter has contributed £750 to St Bartholomew’s Primary School in Crewkerne, supporting its fundraising campaign for a complete playground refurbishment.
Gemma Coward, headteacher at St Bartholomew’s, said: "We thank Taylor Wimpey Exeter for supporting our playground fundraising campaign.
"Your generosity will help us to create a place where children will play, learn, laugh, and grow for years to come."
Earlier this year, the school launched its appeal to replace ageing equipment and provide pupils with a safe, modern play environment.
Emma Smith, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey Exeter, said: "At Taylor Wimpey, we take pride in supporting the local community in which we build new homes, especially when it’s towards new spaces for children to enjoy and play on.
"The school and PTA are doing fantastic work to raise the funds and we hope our donation has helped the cause.”
