Located at Wool Gardens, the park was named by young resident Alfie through a competition organised by Taylor Wimpey Exeter.
Alfie's winning entry, Oak Tree Park, was selected for its creativity and strong sense of place.
Emma Smith, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey Exeter, said: "We’re delighted to have involved the local community in naming the new park at Wool Gardens, and we’d like to say a big congratulations to Alfie for his fantastic winning idea.
"Creating spaces where people can come together is a key part of what we do, and we hope this park will be enjoyed by residents for many years to come."
The competition was held to celebrate the completion of the Wool Gardens development, which has delivered 110 new homes to the town.
