A MAN from Crewkerne has been given a suspended sentence for breaching a sexual harm prevention order.
The defendant Simon O’Callaghan-Murdoch, 61, of Bushfield Road, was sentenced at Taunton Crown Court on April 1 2026.
Court listings said the offence happened on September 23 2025, when he deleted the history of his internet use by deleting social media apps, including Mewe, Instagram, Telegram, TikTok, and WhatsApp messages.
On September 5, he also failed to register the alias names of ‘Ben Johnson’ and ‘John’ within three days of use.

O’Callaghan-Murdoch was sentenced by Circuit Judge P Cook to a concurrent imprisonment sentence of 14 months, suspended for 24 months.
He is also subject to a curfew with electronic monitoring for a period of six months, with a tag fitted from April 1 until September 30.
He must also complete 30 rehabilitation activity requirement days and pay costs of £300.
The court also ordered that the property (phones seized by police) is to be forfeited and destroyed.
